Our Father

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen

Padre nuestro, que estás en el cielo,
santificado sea tu Nombre;
venga a nosotros tu reino;
hágase tu voluntad
en la tierra como en el cielo.
Danos hoy nuestro pan de cada día;
perdona nuestras ofensas, como también
nosotros perdonamos a los que nos ofenden;
no nos dejes caer en la tentación,
y líbranos del mal.
Amen.

Prayer to Jesus / La Oración de Jesús

also, "The Prayer," or "The Jesus Prayer" "La Oración del Corazón"

Lord Jesus Christ,
Son of God,
have mercy on me
a sinner.
Amen.

Señor Jesucristo,
Hijo de Dios,
ten piedad de mi,
que soy un pecador.
Amén.

Saint Michael the Archangel

also, "Prayer to Saint Michael"

St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle;
be our defense against the wickedness
and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do thou,
O prince of the heavenly host,
by the power of God,
cast into hell Satan
and all the evil spirits
who prowl about the world,
seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.

San Miguel Arcángel
defiéndenos en la batalla;
sé nuestro amparo contra la perversidad
y asechanzas del demonio.
Reprímale Dios, pedimos suplicantes;
Y tú,
Príncipe de la milicia celestial,
arroja al infierno,
con el divino poder,
a Satanás y a los demás espíritus malignos
que andan dispersos por el mundo para
a perdición de las almas.
Amén.

Act of Contrition (Confession prayer)

O my God,
I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee,
and I detest all my sins
because of thy just punishments,
but most of all
because they offend Thee, my God,
who art all good and deserving of all my love.
I firmly resolve
with the help of Thy grace
to sin no more
and to avoid the near occasion of sin.
Amen.

Acto de Contrición (u Oración del Penitente)
Dios mío,
me arrepiento de todo corazón
de todo lo malo que he hecho
y de todo lo bueno que he dejado de hacer,
porque pecando te he ofendido a ti,

Prayers of the Rosary

Apostle's Creed / Credo de los Apóstoles

I believe in God,
the Father almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried;
he descended into hell;
on the third day he rose again from the dead;
he ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty;
from there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
(And his kingdom will have no end.)

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting.
Amen.

"From Apostles' Creed | USCCB

Creo en Dios,
Padre todopoderoso,
creador del Cielo y de la Tierra.
Creo en Jesucristo su único Hijo,
Nuestro Seńor,
que fue concebido por obra y gracia del Espíritu Santo;
nació de Santa María Virgen;
padeció bajo el poder de Poncio Pilato;
fue crucificado, muerto y sepultado;
descendió a los infiernos;
al tercer día resucitó de entre los muertos;
subió a los cielos y está a la diestra de Dios Padre;

O my Jesus,
forgive us our sins,
save us from the fires of hell
and lead all souls to Heaven,
especially those who are most in need of thy mercy.

Salve Regina

  • also called "The Hail Holy Queen"

Hail, holy Queen, mother of mercy,
our life, our sweetness, and our hope.
To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve;
to thee do we send up our sighs,
mourning and weeping in this valley of tears.

Turn, then, most gracious advocate,
thine eyes of mercy toward us;
and after this, our exile,
show unto us the blessed fruit of they womb, Jesus.
O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.
Pray for us Holy Mother of God,
That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Amen

Dios te salve,
Reina y Madre de misericordia,
vida, dulzura y esperanza nuestra;
Dios te salve.
A Ti clamamos los desterrados hijos de Eva;
a Ti suspiramos, gimiendo y llorando,
en este valle de lágrimas.
Ea, pues, Señora, abogada nuestra,
vuelve a nosotros esos tus ojos misericordiosos,
y después de este destierro muéstranos
a Jesús, fruto bendito de tu vientre.

¡Oh clemente, oh piadosa, oh dulce Virgen María!

Ruega por nosotros Santa Madre de Dios.

nuestro Señor Jesucristo.
Amén.

Fatima Prayer: Most Holy Trinity

Most Holy Trinity,
Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
I adore thee profoundly,
and I offer thee the most precious Body, Blood, Soul
and Divinity of Jesus Christ,
present in all the tabernacles of the world,

sacrileges and indifference by which he himself is offended.
And, through the most infinite merits of his most Sacred Heart
and the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
I beg of thee the conversion of poor sinners

SANCTISSIMA Trinitas:

Requiem Prayers / Prayers for the Dead

In paradisum

May the angels lead you into paradise;
may the martyrs receive you at your arrival
and lead you to the holy city Jerusalem.
May choirs of angels receive you
and with Lazarus, who once was poor,
may you have eternal rest.

In paradisum deducant te angeli;
in tuo adventu suscipiant te martyres,
et perducant te in civitatem sanctam Jerusalem.
Chorus angelorum te suscipiat,
et cum Lazaro quondam paupere
ceternam habeas requiem.

Tantum ergo Sacramentum

Traditional hymn adapted from Saint Thomas Aquinas' Pange Lingua, saeculo XIII[1]

Therefore, so great a sacrament
Let us venerate with bowed heads
And may the ancient document
give place to the new observance
and may faith supply a substitute
for the defect of the senses.
To the Father and to the Son
Be praise, and joy
good fortune, honor, strength also
and blessing:
to the one proceeding from (them) both
(may there) be equal praise.

Tantum ergo Sacramentum
Veneremur cernui:
Et antiquum documentum
Novo cedat ritui:
Praestet fides supplementum
Sensuum defectui.
Genitori, Genitoque
Laus et iubilatio,
Salus, honor, virtus quoque
Sit et benedictio:
Procedenti ab utroque
Compar sit laudatio.
