The popular apologetic world is getting me down.  After my baptism, I figured, okay, I'm a Christian now. What next? First was a Bible, for which I turned to King James, then looking it over realized I'm here to learn the Bible not Early Modern English. So I went with a "New King James Version." I was astounded how thin it was -- I mean Bible pages are amazing! But it also had Jesus' words in red, which at first confused me because I don't see red, but I do see a difference in the print. Having found myself most fittingly situated in a Catholic and not Protestant pew, and having enrolled in a "free theology class" which they called RCIA, I bought a Catholic Bible, settiig upon the New American Bible


Now and then I listen to apologist podcasts, becuase I learn from them.  But the constant back and forth between faiths and sects drives me crazy.  Not that we should all just get along: there are important, defining differences.

Does sola scriptura mean that Mary did not remain a virgin?

Does sola scriptura mean that the Church Jesus founded was built upon a rock or a foundation?

Does sola scriptura mean that prayer to the Saints is idolatry?
