Thursday. December 12 is the Feast Day of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Not to go too Catholic on you, but we will discuss why she is so important to the Catholic Church, both spiritually and historically.
December 12 is the Feast Day of Our Lady of Guadalupe. One needn’t be Catholic to appreciate this story, as the aftermath of the events regarding Our Lady of Guadalupe are plainly historical. As happened with Saul of Tarsus, the work of Our Lady of Guadalupe was followed by an explosion in baptisms, the former across Greece and Rome, the latter in Mesoamerica, in both cases deeply impacting human history.

We will, however, focus on the historical aspect, as the effects of Our Lady of Guadalupe are undeniable. As happened, for example, with Saint Paul, the work of Our Lady of Guadalupe was followed by an explosion in baptisms, the first across Greece and Rome, the latter in Mesoamerica. It's worth considering what happened, because something happened. If you don't believe that Saint Paul was kicked off his horse and blinded by the Son of God himself, okay, what can we do. But we cannot deny that the man was converted from primary persecutor of Christians to one of its greatest evangelists.
It's worth considering what happened, because something happened. If you don't believe that Saint Paul was kicked off his horse and blinded by the Son of God himself, fine, but it is undeniable that the man had an experience that immediately converted him from primary persecutor of Christians to one of its greatest evangelists.

In 1531, something happened in Mexico City that led directly to the conversion of upwards 8 million Amerindians.
