== Friday, Dec 13: Our Lady of Guadalupe ==
Thursday. December 12 is the Feast Day of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Not to go too Catholic on you, but we will discuss why she is so important to the Catholic Church, both spiritually and historically.
We will, however, focus on the historical aspect, as the effects of Our Lady of Guadalupe are undeniable. As happened, for example, with Saint Paul, the work of Our Lady of Guadalupe was followed by an explosion in baptisms, the first across Greece and Rome, the latter in Mesoamerica. It's worth considering what happened, because something happened. If you don't believe that Saint Paul was kicked off his horse and blinded by the Son of God himself, okay, what can we do. But we cannot deny that the man was converted from primary persecutor of Christians to one of its greatest evangelists.
In 1531, something happened in Mexico City that led directly to the conversion of upwards 8 million Amerindians.
